November–the most under-rated month

Hi, all.

It’s officially November, and in Glasgow, the weather always knows how to dress for the occasion.

Our Hallowe’en gig at Nice And Sleazy was a lot of fun. Sauchiehall Street was jam-packed with crazed drunken revellers in outlandish garb. I reckon there are more sore heads in Glasgow today than there are freckles on a ginger’s arse!

So, DCR’s next gig is on November 26th at The Hold on Waterloo Street. This will be a really fun gig; we’re playing with two bands we know and love. Seashell Velasco are coming all the way over from Granada, Spain for this gig. They’re fronted by our good friend Fran, who is immortalised on “Dangerous Times” by saying “No tomatoes”. Also playing alongside DCR is Fly In Amber, fronted by Kevin Sweeney, and featuring Mathie, Tash, and John ”Didn’t You Used To Be In DCR?”  Daly.

Nice.

For any of you who enjoy the plaintive yodelling of sensitive singer songwriters, I’ll be performing a solo acoustic slot this coming Wednesday (November 4th) at McChuill’s in the Merchant City. I’m gonna play a few of my own (“Little Lambs”, “I Ain’t Yer Lawyer”, “Need New Songs”, etc.) alongside of a couple of covers (Kenny Rogers? DCR? I haven’t decided yet). It’s free, it’s a cool venue and Dicelines Promotions always puts on quality talent–obviously–so come along for a beer…

Well, that’s all our news, I guess. I hope you like the funky new web design by Jon Smyth at Trix Media. Oh, if you click the “Share” button off to the right, it links up to your Bebo or Facebook or whatever you do your social networking with.

P.S. Remember, you can download all our tunes for free off this site, ’cause we’re utopian hippies in that respect. Enjoy!
